ARE YOU A HOMEOWNER LOOKING FOR
A HEAT PUMP?

We partner with the leading renewables installers to ensure the best possible design and installation of your system.

WHY AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMPS?

In the UK, households cause the highest amount of greenhouse gas emissions, with heating and hot water demands contributing the majority. To meet the UK’s climate objectives, it’s essential we move towards renewable technologies to deliver these services.

An air source heat pump extracts heat energy from the air and uses it to heat your home and provide hot water, even during cold weather.

A well-designed heat pump system can transfer between three to four times more heat energy into a property than it uses in electricity, making it 300-400% efficient.

HOW DO AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMPS WORK?

  1. An air source heat pump is a low-carbon way of heating your home.
  2. An air source heat pump takes heat from the air and boosts it to a higher temperature using a compressor.
  3. It then transfers the heat to the heating and hot water system in your home.

Air source heat pumps look similar to air-conditioning units. Their size depends on how much heat they’ll need to generate for your home – the more heat, the bigger the heat pump. The majority of properties in the UK are suitable for an air source heat pump, regardless of it’s size, age or location, assuming they are designed and installed correctly. If your property is well insulated, working on a traditional heating system (Gas, Oil, LPG), and has some space outside then it’s highly likely an air source heat pump will work with your home. All new build properties should be specified with renewable technology. Air source heat pumps typically work at lower flow temperatures than traditional systems. They work particularly well with underfloor heating systems but are also highly effective with a radiator system.

Step 2

HP2G issue proposal. Heat engineers installation cost included.

Step 3

Order confirmed, HP2G complete MCS design work and order/assign complete pack.

Step 4

Installer collects pack, components and installation design details for installation.

Step 5

HP2G support commissioning and MCS sign off.

Step 6

HP2G complete BUS application/claim voucher on behalf of the client as final payment.

BOILER UPGRADE SCHEME (BUS)

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) is a voucher-based grant scheme from the Government, administered by Ofgem, which will be available for customers with eligible installations that have been commissioned on or after April 1st, 2022. The scheme aims to reduce the capital cost of installing renewable heating technologies for domestic customers by providing a one-off voucher payment towards the overall cost of an installation.
